UNIMUX V 892 Multiplexed Hub combines support for realtime protocols suchas IBM 3270 or AS/400 terminals or RS-232 devices with LAN distributionfunctions for Ethernet and Token Ring networks. UNIMUX works withmultiple media types, including coaxial cable and shielded or unshieldedtwisted pair for all end user connections. LAN support includesintegrated 10baseT Ethernet hub cards and repeater modules and Token RingMAUs and repeater modules. Realtime protocols include IBM 3270, AS/400,and 5080 workstations; RS-232; RS-449; V.35; T1; and PBX. UNIMUX featuresa fiber-optic backbone that can be configured in a ring or point-to-point, optional redundant power supplies and fiberoptic links, andcomplete SNMP network management down to the port from anywhere in thenetwork.
